Imagine seeing the sights of Bruny Island and the Huon Valley all on a De Havilland Beaver …. otherwise known as a Seaplane!

Well, Above & Beyond Seaplanes have partnered with Kermandie to provide a scenic flight that will have you viewing some of the best of Southern Tasmania and dining on local produce.

Seaplane and Rosman Ferry called Radar. On the Huon River. Bright blue sky with a few white fluffy clouds.Your ‘Journey to the Huon’ commences from Sullivan’s Cove on Hobart’s iconic waterfront. The seaplane takes off in the Derwent River and tracks south towards Bruny Island’s northern most coastline. Your journey follows Bruny’s coastline to Adventure Bay before heading towards the mouth of the Huon River for a water landing.

You will dock at the Port Huon Marina, home to a number of interesting sea vessels. Currently, Radar, a Rosman Ferry from the Sydney Harbour is in residence. Your seaplane will even pull up beside this grand old vessel. You are then escorted to the Kermandie for a delicious lunch.

You are welcome to choose from our a la carte menu and a glass or two of your favourite beverage is also included. We have views that look out over the marina and the Huon River, or you can cozy up in front of the fire.

Your return from Kermandie is direct from the Huon River to Hobart after a water take off (which has all the locals talking – we love seeing the sight of a seaplane!)

The cost is $785 per person, with a minimum of 2 passengers per tour.

This is a perfect tour for celebrating that special occasion – what a great surprise for your loved one!

Bookings can be made through Above & Beyond via their website. Or you can contact their team on 1300 338 303.
