This year Kermandie entered a number of categories in the Tasmanian Hospitality Awards for Excellence. We were so pleased to come away with two Bronze Awards, one for our Accommodation in the ‘Best Pub Style’ Category and the other for Outstanding Community Service & Achievement.

Our Heritage Rooms located on the first floor of our original building have been renovated to reflect the era of the 1930’s – when our building was built. We have 11 rooms of varying configurations in our Heritage Area, including King, Queen and Family Rooms. All rooms include their own bathroom. We also have a shared Guest Lounge in the centre of this area where guests can access a relaxed space with an open fire, couches, tables, hot drink facilities and breakfast provisions.

The judge made comment that our Heritage Rooms were of an ‘excellent standard for pub style accommodation’. We take great pride in maintaining a high quality of product and service throughout our property.

These rooms are currently only accessible via stairs but we have development plans to construct a lift to make this area more accessible to all. We are also working on development plans for our whole site, extending through the Motel Accommodation that sits next door to our main building. The days are bright at Kermandie!

Our second award, also a Bronze, recognised our outstanding Community Service within our local community. We support a number of Sporting Clubs and Players throughout the South of Tasmania. We also support local schools, community and leisure groups.

We look forward to hosting you in our award-winning accommodation. Kermandie is the perfect river destination for all your adventures in the Hun Valley. You can book your next adventure here.
