Olive May is being brought back to her original glory
Rosman Ferries' latest addition to its fleet of historic ferries is the gaff rigged cutter Olive May, built in 1880 in Tasmania from huon pine and the oldest Australian sailing charter vessel in survey.
Rosman Ferries has been operating on Sydney Harbour for close to 90 years and has expanded into southern Tasmania where the Olive May will be fully restored back to her original glory and be available to cruise the picturesque Huon River.
Visitors to the Huon Valley and guests of Kermandie Hotel and Marina can book scenic cruises and access the waterfront cottage industries of apple and cherry orchards, wineries and fish farms by boat, whilst savouring fresh local produce and refreshments served on board.
Regardless of the season, Kermandie is the heart of your southern Tasmania adventure. Explore the Huon River, nearby Hastings Caves, Tahune Air Walk, Hartz Mountains National Park and Ida Bay Railway, just some of the area's featured attractions
